Larissa Waters is the new Australian Greens Party leader

This week, the Australian Greens elected Senator for Queensland Larissa Waters as their next leader in Parliament House, with Senator for New South Wales Mehreen Faruqi becoming the Deputy Leader.

After losing three seats in the House of Representatives, the Greens face the challenge of a majority Labor government and a smaller crossbench.
