Lets talk about sex education and consent

Sex education and talking about consent can be uncomfortable for many people, especially young adults. But a recent study asked teens what they wanted out of sex education. Some of the answers from teens mentioned learning about communication, well-being, and breaking the taboo of talking about sex. Sex education tends to happen in the classroom, but there is a focus on changing sex education for the better. Sex education doesn’t just happen inside the classroom nowadays, more people have access to the internet, and there is a focus on changing the approaches to sex education. PhD candidate and researcher Giselle Woodley from the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University Joined us to discuss the recent sex education study.
