Lette Loose – Feminism and Portraiture in a Modern World

Sally Ryan’s portrait of Author Kathy Lette titled, ‘Lette Loose’, is a finalist in the 2025 Archibald prize. The oil on board painting is a fun and pointed nod to feminist ideals as both Kathy and Sally share similar values when it comes to matters concerning women.

Sally talks about her love for painting strong women and Kathy is no exception, with every detail in this painting rooted in these values.
