Is a life that lacks quality better than no life at all?

This is the question at the heart of caring for extremely premature babies, who find themselves on the edge of life and death.

An extremely premature baby can survive and go on to have a normal life, or it may live and spend its life in pain.

Dr Janet Green has been asking nurses their views on quality of life, and found that their definition of quality is more than what’s in the crib.
