Love, romance and intimacy in videogames

Why is it considered surprising when love and intimacy are explored in video games when they’ve been extensively explored in other mainstream media, such as music and movies, for decades? It may be a sign that the gaming industry has grown up—with many popular games today involving character relationships and development.

The Blushbox Collective is a group founded by three female Australian gamers that have banded together to promote the exploration of love and sexuality in video games. Nic was joined by Katie Gall, co-founder of Blushbox Collective, to chat about their mission and Heartbeat, a 3 day conference in Byron Bay in December.
