Madiba: The Musical

This year Nelson Mandela would’ve turned 100 years old and the musical serves as a reminder of the struggles of racism, reconciliation in a volatile political climate.

The former South African leader was an anti-apartheid revolutionist, political leader, peace activist and philanthropist and the saga of his crusade is explored in this new musical.

Sophie chats to Dennis Watkins, the director of the musical, about how music can capture all the emotions and tell the story of Nelson Mandela, and Africa at large, in a refreshing way.
