Microplastics: a hidden hazard

Microplastics are plastics smaller than five millimetres in diameter, and they’ve become a concern for researchers.
They’re considered as emerging pollutants because they’ve been found everywhere, including inside our bodies.
But how are microplastics are affecting the environment and our health?
