Migrants – The Quiet Environmentalists

For many Australians, the environmental movement is associated with keep-cups, reusable bags and marching for climate action. For much of our migrant community however – environmentalism is quietly woven into daily life and domestic habits rather than being broadcast on social media. Dr Sukhmani Khorana is a Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Sydney’s Institute for culture and society – and she’s been looking at how our migrants engage with the environment. She joined The Daily’s Willy Russo to explain more.
