More Civil Societies: Aged Care Royal Commission

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the government’s plan to establish a royal commission into the aged care sector, which will look at the quality of care Australians living in nursing homes are receiving from aged care providers and workers. The announcement came following ongoing reports of elder abuse, and a day before a Four Corners investigation into the treatment of the elderly in aged care facilities went to air.
