Music As A Training Mechanism To Improve Communication For Deaf and Hard-Of-Hearing Children And Adults

Dr. Chi Yhun Lo spent five-years as a sound guy and roadie but found his calling when he combined his passion for music with the science of sound. Chi is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Macquarie University, an Honorary Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, the Secretary of the Parents of Deaf Children; and recently returned from Toronto Metropolitan University where he was a Senior Research Associate.

Chi spoke with Producer Anthea about his research which focuses on how music can be an effective tool to support speech perception and psychosocial wellbeing.
