Musicians to NSW: ‘Don’t Kill Live Music’

After thousands of people turned out to the Don’t Kill Live Music rally to protest to new government proposals for live music events and festivals from March 1.

The new rules, which the government has admitted are confusing, will require fourteen festivals seen as ‘high-risk’ by the government to spend more money on police and emergency services.

Festival organisers, musicians and attendees have taken to the streets, but the question is will there be further political repercussions following the rally.

Ben Tillman co-founder of Yours & Owls  spoke to Myles Houlbrook-Walk to get into the finer details of the “battle to save live music”.
