Neighbour Day, Socially Connecting While Socially Distancing

Community ambassador and broadcaster, Andrew Heslop, initiated Neighbour Day in Melbourne on the last Sunday in March since March 2003 after the remains of an elderly woman were found in her suburban home, in the hopes to dedicate one day a year to remind people to check in with their elderly neighbours. This year’s theme for Neighbour Day was ‘Social Connection’.

We were joined by Nick Tebbey, National Executive Officer of Relationships Australia, to talk with us about ‘Neighbour Day’ and how we can connect with our Neighbour within our current climate.
