New Bill Proposes an End to Indefinite Offshore Detention

Earlier this Month Independent MP Andrew Wilkie introduced the Ending Indefinite and Arbitrary Detention 2022 bill to the house of Representatives, receiving support from all the Teal Independents.

If passed, the bill would abolish offshore detention facilities, and introduce legislature limiting the length of time asylum seekers can be detained for.
