New Changes to NSW Cycling Laws Will Allow Children To Ride On The Footpath

A NSW cycling law has been changed to allow children up to the age of 16 to ride on the footpath. Until this change, children as young as 12 years old who wished to cycle to school were forced to ride amongst peak hour traffic each day. Despite the change, many campaigners believe the law should be extended to allow children past the age of 16 to ride on the footpath. Kim Lavender from Bicycle NSW, joined The Daily to explain why is that the case.
