New partnership sparks dialogue on youth homelessness

Youth homelessness remains a growing issue across the nation.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare over 38,000 young people in Australia aged 16-24 reached out for help from homelessness services in the 2023-2024 period.

A new partnership between housing advocates, a social enterprise and young people with lived experience was officially launched in Melbourne by Special Envoy for Social Housing and Homelessness Josh Burns MP.

The Home Time Youth Housing Coalition is set to collaborate with For Change Co to engage the Australian public on the issue and highlight the needed action to tackle housing for young people.
