New toolkit could help local councils manage homelessness in communities

Currently over 120 000 Australians sleeping rough each night, but as the homelessness crisis continues to deepen nation-wide, metropolitan and regional suburbs are experiencing a vast range of impacts.

So how can local councils respond to the issue and what role can they play in tackling the crisis at a local and broader level?

A new tool kit developed by Centre for Social Impact at Flinders University along with Local Government Association of South Australia, aims to offer guidance to councils, with a new evidence-based resource.
