News, Social Media and Democracy

The recent feud between the Australian Media and technology companies such as Google and Facebook have so far resulted in Facebook blocking the postage of Australian news sites on their platform. This causes grave concern for freedom of information, the spread of misinformation and democracy but may open the door for more media diversity.
