NSW Police excessive force not unlawful – police watchdog

Redfern Legal Centre says NSW Police use of excessive force against their 14-year old client should have been considered unlawful.

The First Nations boy was heavily tackled on the ground then ended up with horrific head injuries. Senior Solicitor Samantha Lee says this problem is about bad police culture which will need to change.
