One Nation Not Shooting Straight

Earlier this week, Al Jazeera released a two-part undercover investigative web series detailing One Nation’s attempts to solicit important information and millions in political donations from American pro-gun organisations, most notably the NRA. The fallout from this has seen questions raised about One Nation’s reputation, preference deals in the upcoming federal election as well as ethical and legal concerns about the investigation itself. Dr Bligh Grant, Associate Professor at the Insitute for Public Policy and Governance at the University of Technology Sydney, and co-editor of the book, ‘The Rise of Right-Populism, Pauline Hanson’s One Nation and Australian Politics’, joined us on The Daily to recap this week’s biggest story.
