Opera Living In The Past

The Opera usually shows productions that are historical in context. These can sometimes include sexist and racist language. But our audiences seem uncomfortable with this. This debate was sparked following Australia’s Opera casting a non-hispanic in a leading role in the 2019 West Side Story.
