Optimistic budget ignores potential future risks

There has been a lot of comment on the optimism of some of treasury’s forward estimates in this year’s budget, but while the government is sticking by its figures, outgoing Reserve Bank Chief Glenn Stevens, says “there is years of hard work ahead to repair the budget”. So are we on the right track?
