Oral Spray Medication for prevention of long term Urinary Tract Infection

A new research conducted with a small sample of individuals has found an oral vaccine medication, MV140, could be effective in the long term prevention of  Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). With antibiotics being the standalone treatment option, this alternative medication could be a lifeline for individuals living with long term UTI.

Professor Mark Schembri at the the university of Queensland school of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences and Deputy Director of the Australian Infectious Diseases Research Centre, joined The Monday Daily to talk further on the effectivness of this medication and whether it could be rolled out more widely, here in Australia.
