Policing the Sydney Lockdown – A Legal Perspective

We are only days away from lockdown restrictions being eased across Sydney when we hit 70% double-vaccinated adults in NSW. We’ll be able to sit in a café for our coffee, order a beer fresh from the tap, get our lockdown haircuts fixed up, and get back into the gym – but only if you’re vaccinated. Unvaccinated people won’t be able to do these things until December. But as the rules change, it begs the question; how will these new rules be enforced?

Lockdown restrictions have confused us all – not least the police force, found Ben Mostyn, a law lecturer from the University of Wollongong. Ben joined The Daily to explain this confusion, and our way out of it as restrictions ease in the next few weeks.
