How ‘Citizen Scientists’ Can Help to Preserve the Monarch Butterfly

With its bright orange and black wings, the Monarch Butterfly species is iconic. But did you know it’s populations are also on the decline?

Scientists are hoping the local community can step in to become ‘citizen scientists’ to help track the Monarch Butterfly, which may in turn help track and boost Australia’s native butterfly species.

Tuesday Drive was joined by Emeritus Professor in Biological Sciences at The University of Queensland, Dr. Myron Zalucki, to discuss the decline in butterfly species and how you and I can preserve our local insect populations.
