President Obama: Senate Veto Override

The U.S. senate voted overwhelmingly to override President Obama’s attempt to veto passing into law a bill that would allow the families of those killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to sue Saudi Arabia for any role in the plot. The White House Administration has expressed its concern over the legal precedents it sets. 2SER was joined by Dr Binoy Kampmark Senior Lecturer and researcher in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies.
