How professional athletes can have a career after sport

Life after sport for a professional athlete, becomes very difficult to lead. Athletes are dedicated to their respective sport for a long time, hence why some athletes may struggle to begin a new career after retirement. What are the struggles athletes face and how can they be overcome?
