Remembering Billy Orchard’s legacy in the lead up to ANZAC Day

William ‘Billy’ Orchard is one of the 330,000 Australians who volunteered to serve their country during the First World War, and his journey is in the Australian War Stories Project.

Billy was a family man and a good sportsman by playing with the AFL’s Geelong Cats.

His granddaughter Felicity Wischer is proud of her grandfather and spoke with The Wire about the significance of ANZAC Day for her and her family.
