Research into penalty rates

Weekend penalty rates were a talking point during Australia’s federal election earlier this year as both sides had a day on the issue.

Sunday penalty rates are a particular issue as many believe that they no longer are relevant in a 24/7 economy, that the day is just like any other.

Research may prove otherwise. Sam spoke to David Peetz, Professor of Employment relations from Griffith University.
