Responsible Minerals Sourcing for Renewable Energy

Electric cars are fast taking over the world, but they are also quickly posing a particular threat to the environment. New research at the Institute of Sustainable Futures suggests that under a 100% renewable energy scenario, demand for metals for electric devices and renewable energy technologies could exceed reserves for cobalt, lithium and nickel, increasing the already significant environmental and human impacts of mining.
