Saving The Associated Press And Australian Media Diversity

The Australia Associated Press is an integral part of the Australian media landscape, providing quality independent news and photos to hundreds of media outlets around the country. Recent financial pressure however has meant we’re at risk of losing the AAP. With Rupert Murdoch’s Newscorp launching their own Newswire service, the loss of the AAP might also mean a significant loss to media diversity, and even democracy.  A crowdfunding campaign is now underway to save the Australian Associated Press and CEO Emma Cowdroy joined The Thursday Daily’s Willy Russo to tell us more.
