Seaweed Farming in Zanzibar

Zanzibar – a Tanzanian island in East Africa looks like a paradise. Light blue water, white sand and tropical climate. But for farmers life is still tough. And the effects of climate change are not making it any easier.

After tourism and cloves exports, seaweed farming is the 3rd biggest source of income for the country. Our producer Sarka Pechova takes you to one of these seaweed farms to see how it is done and what is threatening the farmers.
