Despite small businesses being the backbone of the Australian economy, many business owners feel underappreciated and unacknowledged for their time and effort they put in. New research from American Express reveals that one third of business owners are working 50 hours a week, with 72 per cent of small business traders wishing that Aussies knew how hard it was. CEO of the Retail Doctor Group, Brian Walker, spoke with Nic today about the difficulties of running small businesses and the importance of building relationships and engendering loyalty between owners and customers.
