Skyscraper Stan – Shooting the breeze – A Direction Home

NZ born singer-songwriter Skyscraper Stan (Stan Woodhouse) dropped by to shoot the breeze with Cathy Kirkpatrick , on A Direction Home – 2SER. His new album THOSE WERE DAYS is stellar. We covered all sorts of intriguing territory, and Stan played a couple of lovely acoustic versions of Flag of Progress, and 21 Century Lullaby which he wrote for his niece.

I particularly enjoyed our conversation about the art of metaphor and the pitfalls of political messages, ways to keep oneself calm and well, and the uplifting quality of soul music.
