Solomons PM slams Foreign Minister Wong offer

A “Giant Mis-step”  was how Shadow Foreign Minister Simon Birmingham characterised the apparent announcement of funding for the Solomon Islands Elections by Foreign Minister Penny Wong on breakfast radio.

The announcement without warning offended Solomons PM Sogavare who termed the offer a “foreign interference”  furthering the rocky relationship Australia has had with the Solomon Islands recently.
