Specialist sport programs are keeping kids engaged in secondary schooling

A PhD study in Perth explored the influence of specialist sporting programs on the educational outcomes of students attending schools in low socioeconomic areas of Perth. Results of the study showed that students who took part in these programs have a higher level of engagement with secondary school and also saw their academic results significantly improved. Dr Eiblish O’Hara from Edith Cowan University joined us to chat about her research.
