Students crave green spaces in vertical schools

A recent University of Melbourne study highlights that secondary students in Brisbane and Melbourne’s new high-rise schools are craving more outdoor green spaces.

As these vertical schools rapidly rise in urban areas, there is limited research on their design and impact on students.

The research reveals that students value interactions with nature and suggests that the lack of green spaces in these schools affects their sense of connection and identity.
