Supermarket Butchers hung out to Dry

Nationwide, over 1500 workers in the Coles meat sections will be made redundant, the supermarket has announced. The entire butcher and meat departments are being closed down in favour of pre-packaged meat on the shelves.

The Meat Industry Employees Union has come out against this decision, saying that Coles has made a decision that is cruel to some of its most loyal employees.
