You may not know it, but your shampoo may be the cause of huge forest fires across Indonesia. Why? Palm Oil. Unless you have carefully selected certain products, there is a high chance that it contains palm oil, an ingredient that companies have been sourcing from Indonesia by cutting down rainforests.

Greenpeace have been campaigning against deforestation for many years, and certain companies have promised to change their ways, however they don’t always stick to their promises.

Forest Campaigner from Greenpeace Australia and Pacific, Jessica Panegyres told us more about palm oil and its impact on the world.
