Meanjin/Brisbane producer and songwriter EJ Wood has hit the ground running in 2025 with his sophomore release ‘Garden’. Blending hazy dream pop soundscapes with punchy trip-hop drum grooves, ‘Garden’ is a lush and ethereal track imbued with nostalgia. Inspired by the likes of Oneohtrix Point Never and George Clanton, ‘Garden’ pulls you in with it’s subtle ear-worms and nuanced sound design, incorporating sampled ASMR videos, voice memos and Instagram reels to add textural intricacies and percussive layers.
