Tall Tales: Mark Pritchard on Down Low Disco

Whether it be from techno to dancehall, ambient, hip hop, dubstep, rave and jungle, Mark Pritchard is the definition of a musical pioneer. Whether in his vast solo back catalogue, or member of a variety of projects including Africa HiTech and Global Communication, the UK-born, Eora/Sydney-based artist is always pushing to the next musical horizon and unswayed by the desire to rest on legacy.

Pritchard best illustrates this with his latest album “Tall Tales“: a multidiscplinary album made in tandem with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke on vocals and visual designer Jonathan Zawada.

Mark joined Lorna Clarkson  for an in-deep conversation about the production and writing of Tall Tales, his philosophy on music, the collaborative process behind the album, original demos and much more.
