The Big Picture Behind Australia’s Drug Laws

Research shows that humans have been getting high since the Stone Age, and with 43% of Australians trying an illicit drug in their lifetime it makes you wonder whether prohibitionist drug laws are the way to go.

 

We had the pleasure of chatting with Dr. Nicole Lee from the National Drug Research Institute to find out about Australia’s drug history and how our history has shaped current drug laws.  We also asked Dr. Lee about her take on Australia’s drug laws in light of the current pill-testing debate.
