The Emu War Comedy Series

Have you heard of ‘The Emu War’ sometimes known as The Great Emu War? It was a military operation where soldiers were out to kill emus in Western Australia in 1932. Needless to say the flightless birds won this particular battle. 

Screen Australia has just announced funding towards a seven-part YouTube comedy series inspired by this true Australian story. Marlene Even from 2SER Breakfast was joined by director and producer of the YouTube series ‘The Emu War’, Lisa Fineberg.
