“The House All the Lights On”

“The House with all the lights on” is a memoir by Jessica Kirkness about Deafness, Hearing, and Family, released just this week on Tuesday July 4th. Jessica explores her family’s experiences with deaf grandparents, and the boundary between deaf and hearing cultures in her own life.

Our producer Cameron Furlong has been a writing student of Jessica’s for almost three years, and was very keen to talk about Jessica’s book leading up to the release. Here is their conversation.
