The Legendary James Morrison on 2SER Breakfast

James Morrison is a virtuoso in every sense of the word and a true giant of Australian jazz.

With dazzling technique and dynamic interpretation, James has sought to celebrate all that is intoxicating about jazz, and continues to do so.

He has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, Lalo Schifrin and more, and on Monday 16 September at the City Recital Hall, the legendary James Morrison Quartet will join forces with Grammy award-winning pianist, Marian Petrescu for one night of sublime jazz in the city.

James joined 2SER Breakfast to touch on his illustrious career, examine the use of improvisation and collaboration inherent in jazz music, and of course to discuss the one thing left to achieve in his career – playing at the Middle Harbour 16ft Skiff Club, which he’ll sort out this weekend!
