The Obsession with Economic Growth is Hurting Our Planet

How many times have you heard the phrase economic growth this week? It’s certainly a phrase that’s being discussed a lot at the moment. 

Researchers looking into the link between wealth, economy and sustainability are  we need to get away from our obsession with economic growth. A team of researchers led by a sustainable scientist at the University of NSW have warned that we need to reduce our over consumption and pursuit of affluence to change our current environmental problems. 

We were joined by the lead author of that study, Professor Tommy Weidmann from the University of New South Wales.
