The Original Sample that Defined Ice Cube’s ‘It Was a Good Day’ – Under the Covers

What’s better than original versions of famous covers? Samples of course! Sample Sauce is a new part of Under the Covers, looking at the original songs that were later sampled in famous hits.

This week, Max and Thomas looked back at the Isley’s Brothers’ 1977 track Footsteps in the Dark, the major sample found in Ice Cube’s 1993 hit, It was a Good Day.
