The Science Of Earthquakes

Several earthquakes have hit the Indonesian island of Lombok, which have also affected surrounding islands and caused mass destruction and a death toll of at least 105. Some scientists are suggesting that there are some unique conditions around Lombok that make it susceptible to these kinds of natural disasters. Jane Cunneen, a research fellow from the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Curtin University, joined us on The Daily to discuss.
