The state of relationships in Australia

Relationships are at the heart of social life.  They have the power to transform lives, they give meaning to our existence, they allow us to form bonds, interact with others, and be part of social groups and get involved in communities.

Because there is increasing policy interest in social participation at all levels of government, collecting data on the state of our relationships has become even more important and relevant.

Relationships Australia has recently released such a survey, also known as the Relationship Indicators Survey for 2022.  This survey provides very rich insights into how Australians understand and engage in meaningful relationships.

Beth interviewed Claire Fisher from Relationships Australia.  Claire is the senior researcher and project leader behind this very interesting survey.
