This Day in History, December 18th

Breaking out the ol’ 2ser graverobbing shovel (community radio’s a tough business, we’ve got to fund it somehow) and digging down through the layers of time, we discover on today’s date, Hannibal’s Carthaginian forces defeated those of the Roman Republic following his famed Crossing of the Alps. The long and bloody Battle of Verdun finally came to an end in World War One, and the US House of Representatives voted in support of the impeachment of Donald Trump. Plus, we celebrate birthdays for Joseph Stalin, Brad Pitt, Sia, Billie Eilish, and The Rolling Stones’ own Keith Richards!
