This Day in History, October 1st

Taking a quantum leap back in time to observe… on today’s date, Alexander the Great secured his position as standing king of Asia with a victory over Darius III of Persia at the Battle of Gaugamela! A large bomb planted by two unionist brothers destroyed the Los Angeles Times building, killing 21 people and injuring over 100 more, motivated by the owner’s anti-union activities, and a 64-year-old man surpassed the body count of the Orlando Nightclub Shooting to become the deadliest mass shooter in modern US history. Plus, celebrating birthdays for Julie Andrews, Theresa May, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra and Mariska Veres!
